Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. In addition to her current job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
